Bangai-O: It's a Treasure! Zing!

Treasure is nice and all. Treasure the company, I should clarify. It's nice. They have a bottle of high-viscosity shooter mojo stored next to the pencils in the supply room. They rub it on most games they put out, but I'm grumpy enough to know that it doesn't work its miracles every time. In some cases, the high viscosity leads to thermal breakdown (see: the overrated Ikaruga), but in others, you do get, well, treasure.
Bangai-O on the Dreamcast is a shining example of that. Best shooter in whatever hypothetical hyperbole you wish. Sick of auto-scrolling? Sick of weapons stockpiles that vaporize when your ship does? Sick of games calling it a day after 6 levels? Bangai-O is the answer. Fly anywhere, take all of your weapons with you, and destroy hundreds of enemies at once for the best Space Fruit available. Act now and recieve not seven, not twelve, but over 40 levels.
How about some puzzle elements? You get that too. Hilarious Engrish dialogue? They crammed it in. It's all there. Bring on the DS sequel.
